Friends

The Friends feature lets you connect with other YAWBDB users directly on the platform.

It works with Panel Chat, presence, and notifications.

➕ Add a friend

Open the Friends page from the navigation bar.

You can search for a platform user and send a friend request.

The other user can accept or decline the request.

📨 Friend requests

Friend requests appear in the notification bell in real time.

You can accept or decline a request without leaving the current page.

💬 Start a DM

Once someone is your friend, you can start a direct message conversation with them in one click.

This is useful for quick collaboration or support follow-up.

🚫 Block users

You can block users to prevent:

• Messages from that user
• Friend requests from that user

Blocking is useful if someone is bothering you or sending unwanted requests.

🟢 Online status

Friends can show presence states such as:

• Online
• Away
• Do Not Disturb

Status indicators appear across the platform, including Friends and Chat areas.

📧 Email notifications

You can optionally receive email notifications for friend requests.

Configure this from your email notification preferences.

💡 Best practices

• Only accept requests from users you recognize or trust.
• Block users who spam or harass you.
• Use Do Not Disturb when you do not want to be interrupted.
• Use DMs for private platform conversations instead of public chat.
