Statroles

Statroles automatically reward members with roles based on their lifetime activity on your server — how many messages they've sent, how much time they've spent in voice, how many games they've won, or how long they've been a member. Unlike Leveling rewards, statroles are based on raw cumulative totals, not the XP formula.

Go to Panel → your server → Statroles to set them up.

🎯 How it works

Each statrole maps a role to an activity threshold:

Metric Grants the role when…
Messages sent the member has sent at least N messages total
Voice time the member has spent at least N minutes in voice total
Games won the member has won at least N games in the Games hub
Time in server the member joined at least N days ago

When a member crosses the threshold, the bot gives them the role automatically. You can optionally have the role removed again if the member ever drops below the threshold.

Every one of these totals only ever goes up, so removal mainly matters if you also use XP decay or resets.

➕ Creating a statrole

  1. Pick the role to grant (make sure the YAWBDB bot role sits above it in your role list, or it can't assign it).
  2. Choose the metric — messages, voice time, games won, or time in server.
  3. Set the threshold (e.g. 1000 messages, 600 voice minutes, 50 wins, 30 days).
  4. Optionally tick remove the role if the member drops below the threshold.

You can create several statroles, including more than one on the same role (e.g. different tiers) — each role + metric pair is unique.

⏱ When roles are applied

Each metric is checked wherever it actually changes:

So existing members earn their statroles shortly after you create the rule, as they're active or on the next sweep — not necessarily the instant you click save.

⚠️ Messages and voice statroles require the Leveling feature to be enabled — that's how the bot tracks message and voice activity. Games won statroles require the Games feature, since that's what records wins. The Time in server metric works on its own, with or without either.

The messages count tracks messages that earn XP — at most one per Leveling cooldown window — not every single message. So a "1,000 messages" threshold reflects sustained activity rather than a raw message tally, and rapid spam won't inflate it.

🎮 What counts as a game won

A games won statrole counts every win a member has scored in the Games hub on your server:

/8ball and /love never count: they have no winner, so they're plays rather than wins.

Only wins scored while the game was switched on count — turning a game off stops it feeding the total, and past wins stay counted. The total is per server, so a member's wins elsewhere don't follow them here.

This pairs naturally with XP on win in the Games settings: XP rewards each individual win, while a statrole marks the milestone. A "Game Champion" role at 50 wins gives regular players something to chase that a single lucky round can't hand them.

🆚 Statroles vs Leveling rewards

Both can assign roles, but they answer different questions:

Use whichever fits, or both. You don't need to build any reward graph for statroles — but each metric needs the feature that feeds it: Leveling for messages and voice, Games for games won. The "time in server" metric works without either.

🔑 Access

Statroles is available to server owners and team members with at least Moderator role in the YAWBDB panel. Enable the Statroles feature on your server first — turning it off stops new grants without deleting your rules.
